At 1:30 pm on Monday, November 22, 2021, NLCRPD responded to the report of a tractor trailer accident on Doe Run Road near Cool Spring Road. At the scene, police officers found a tractor trailer owned by Kreider's Farm and driven by Lancaster employee James WEAVER was driving east on Doe Run Road when the truck pulled out of the south side of the road. The tractor trailer continued on the grass for about 100 yards, and then suddenly stopped a few feet in the mud.

With the help of members of the fire brigade and other passing motorists, the police officers were able to navigate through the muddy terrain and found WEAVER who was semi-conscious in the truck cab. WEAVER was removed by EMS and transported to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment. No other vehicles were involved, and no other people were injured. Doe Run Road was closed for several hours, and Weaver's Towing assisted in removing the tractor trailer from the grass.

Currently, NLCRPD is investigating the cause of the accident. Anyone who might have witnessed the crash can contact Corporal Tony Smith at 717-733-0965.
